Hi, I'm Melvin, a rising Freshman at Northview High School. I have been playing the piano for nine years, swimming for 6 years, and doing competition math for 5 years, but most importantly, I have a strong passion for learning and teaching others. I am currently taking AP Calculus BC and achieved the highest class grade of 107 in both Honors Precalculus and Honors Algebra II/Geometry B. I was president of River Trail Middle School's MathCounts Club, and I led the team to win 2nd at the state MathCounts Competition. I have also received AMC 10 Achievement Roll, Honor Roll, and AMC 8 Distinguished Honor Roll and qualified for the AIME. Also, I have won 1st Place in the GMTA State Piano Competition for 3 consecutive years, the International Young Artists Piano Competition Special Judges Award and I have performed at Carnegie Hall. I swim for Dynamo Swim Club, and I have won 3 Gold Medals and 1 Bronze Medal at the GA Swimming State Championships.
